Questions and Answers
Does my child need theater experience?
1
Not at all! Beginners are absolutely welcome. We create a supportive environment where shy, nervous, and first-time performers can grow alongside experienced kids.
What will my child do during rehearsal?
2
Students spend the rehearsal:
Acting, Singing, Dancing, Learning choreography, Making crafts and props
Playing theater games, Building confidence and friendships
Rehearsing for the final performance
Every child is included in the production experience.
How do auditions work?
Will every child get a role?
3
We will send out audition material August 1st, a month before the semester begins so students have time to prepare. Auditions consist of a 30 second dance routine, a 30 second song choice, and “sides” or part of a scene, that they can memorize. We will provide directions so students can videotape themselves and send in their song and sides ahead of time. Dance auditions and call backs will then happen the first night of rehearsal. The cast will be announced before the following rehearsal.
