A favorite at Pavilion Plays, Little Performers is a joyful introduction to theater designed especially for preschool-aged children. Students build confidence, creativity, social skills, and stage comfort in a warm, encouraging, low-pressure environment.
Dramatic play and pretend adventures
Music and movement
Simple theater games
Crafts and hands-on activities
Storybook-inspired scenes
Gentle performance experiences
Perfect for shy children, energetic imaginations, and first-time theater students alike.
The first half of the year focuses on building friendships, confidence, and theater fundamentals through creative play. During the second half, students work together to rehearse a short ensemble-style play for a final showcase in March.
Because the performance is built into the class experience, children have time to grow naturally into performing without the pressure of a traditional production. Last semester, students performed Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
Tuesday classes begin September 1st
Thursday classes begin September 3rd
Final showcase week: March 9th or 11th
We follow the Johnston County Public Schools calendar, so holiday breaks align with the district schedule.
Tuition is charged monthly, and families may cancel at any time. We appreciate notice before the end of the month whenever possible so we can offer the spot to another student.

Students spend the first half of the year building theater skills, creativity, and confidence through games, scene work, and collaborative activities. During the second half, they work together to rehearse and perform a short showcase production in March.
Performances are designed to be ensemble-focused so every student has opportunities to participate and shine. A possible production could include a shortened adaptation of The Wizard of Oz or another story-based ensemble performance.

Once we begin working on the performance piece, we do ask for commitment from January through March whenever possible so the ensemble can stay consistent and we do not have to recast roles during the rehearsal process.
Fast-paced, creative, and full of laughter, Homeschool Improv Club from Pavilion Plays focuses on the skills behind spontaneous performance rather than rehearsed theater. Students learn how to think on their feet, respond in the moment, and build strong communication and collaboration skills through improv games and guided group challenges.
Saying “yes, and…” to build ideas and collaboration
Listening and reacting in the moment (not planning ahead)
Quick thinking under pressure through games and challenges
Creating spontaneous characters, worlds, and situations
Embracing mistakes as part of the creativity process
Supporting scene partners to make them look good
This class is less about performance and more about the skills behind spontaneous creativity: adaptability, presence, communication, and trust.
Classes run September–March
Showcase performances: December (mid-semester) & March (final showcase)
