At Pavilion Plays, Shrek Kids is more than memorizing lines. This hands-on children’s theater program in Clayton, NC gives young performers the opportunity to learn through rehearsals, games, movement, music, character exploration, and ensemble work.

There’s always more to theater than what’s written on the page! Students learn how to make character choices, tell a story, work together, and discover what makes their own performance unique. No previous theater experience is required—just come ready to play!

Step into the world of Shrek Jr. at Pavilion Plays, a performing arts center and educational theater in Clayton, NC serving families throughout Johnston County. Students learn theater by doing it—exploring character, movement, storytelling, music, teamwork, and performance throughout the rehearsal process.

Our approach goes beyond the script. Students discover that a character is more than lines on a page and learn to make creative choices that bring the story to life. Come as you are, find your character, and discover what you can do onstage.
